Emotional intelligence is embedded across all Key Stages and is a central part of both our curriculum and pastoral offer. It supports students to become both school-ready and society-ready, alongside their academic progress. Through structured teaching, targeted workshops, and real-life learning experiences, students develop understanding and skills across the five strands of emotional intelligence.
Understanding emotions, strengths, areas for development, and personal values, and recognising how these influence behaviour, learning, and relationships.
Developing the ability to manage emotions, control impulses, and respond appropriately in different situations.
Building resilience, perseverance, and internal drive to set and achieve academic and personal goals.
Recognising and understanding the feelings, needs, and perspectives of others, and responding with respect and care.
Developing effective communication, positive relationships, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
